Accelerated Developmental English at CCCOnline Combined ENG 060 - ENG 090 course

Most Colorado community college students take a placement test to measure their skills in English, math and reading. If your scores suggested that you need to take refresher English courses, CCCOnline can help you get ENG 060 and ENG 090 – Developmental English I and II – out of the way in one semester and bring your writing skills up to college level.

For the first few weeks of the semester, Accelerated Developmental English focuses on the content of ENG 060 – structuring sentences and paragraphs, and writing essays. In the remaining weeks of the semester, you will build on those skills through the content of ENG 090. The advantage of taking both courses back to back in the same semester is that there is no break in between the two classes, so you will remember and use what you learned in the first class when you take the second.

Both courses use one textbook -- The Deluxe Transitive Vampire – and other digital and online course materials. When you successfully complete the work, you will earn 3 credits each for ENG 060 and ENG 090.

When you enroll in Accelerated Developmental English, it will appear that you have registered for ENG 060C11 by itself. However, you automatically are registered for ENG 090C11 at the same time.
