Accelerated Developmental Math at CCCOnline
Combined MAT 030 - MAT 060 course
Most Colorado community college students take a placement test to measure their skills in English, math and reading. If your scores suggested that you need to take refresher math courses, CCCOnline can help you get MAT 030 Fundamentals of Mathematics and MAT 060 Pre Algebra out of the way in one semester.
Accelerated Developmental Math combines MAT 030 and MAT 060 into one semester. In this accelerated combination class, you will spend the first five weeks of the semester learning and reviewing some of the basic math skills in MAT 030. For the last 10 weeks of the semester, you will build on what you learned in MAT 030 by diving right into MAT 060. The advantage of taking both courses back to back in the same semester is that there is no break in between the two classes, so you will remember and use what you learned in the first class when you take the second.
When you enroll in Accelerated Developmental Math, it will appear that you have registered for MAT 030C11 by itself. However, you automatically are registered for MAT 060C11. When you successfully complete MAT 030, you will earn 2 credits. Then, you can add another 3 credits when you successfully complete MAT 060.
If you have any questions about the courses, contact the CCCOnline Advisor or Mathematics Program Chair Jan Butler.
