Behavioral Sciences

Sociology and psychology are the two areas of study that are part of CCCOnline's Behavioral Sciences program. Psychologists study mental processes and the behavior of individuals. Sociologists study society and how human individuals interact with one another. Through these two Behavioral Sciences disciplines you may explore human behavior, actions and interactions, gaining general knowledge and developing your powers of reason and judgment.

Most students who are pursuing an associate degree will choose from courses in Behavioral Sciences as part of their degree requirements. CCCOnline courses in both Psychology and Sociology are part of the statewide guaranteed (gt) transfer curriculum (gtPathways).

NOTE: PSY 238 Child Development is not part of the Behavioral Sciences program. That course is part of CCCOnline’s Education program because it is required for some of the Early Childhood Education certificates.
