Adult Education and Family Literacy Certificate

Current teachers and others who want to teach adult learners in the areas of Adult Basic Education, GED, English as a Second Language, and Family Literacy can earn college credits and a certificate when they successfully complete the following courses.

The Colorado Department of Education offers a Literacy Instructor Authorization to teachers who complete the required courses.  Adult educators in Even Start programs are required to take all five courses, while those in AEFLA programs must take all courses except EDU 135 Family Literacy.
