Group Leader Certificate Requirements
15-16 Credit Hours
You must successfully complete at least five of these six courses - including either ECE 238 or PSY 238 - along with verified work experience to earn a Group Leader Certificate and hold the position of Group Leader in a licensed child care facility in the State of Colorado.
Check with your ECE Home College advisor for specific course requirements.
Upon successful completion of ECE 101 and ECE 102, you are eligible to receive a Level 1 Early Childhood Professional Credential. Visit the Smart Start Colorado Office of Professional Development Web site for more information

| ECE 220 Curriculum Development: Methods and Techniques Recommended prerequisites for this course are: ECE 101, ECE 238 or PSY 238 and a basic English course. You also need regular access to children between the ages of birth and 8 for observation and class work. |
