Changing The Page Display in Discussions

The system automatically defaults to display 10 records per page in the Discussions which makes it difficult to see most of the discussion postings. It is a good idea to change that page display in your discussion topics.

  1. Click Discussions on the Course Tools Menu, then click the Paging Preferences icon to reset the page display.

  1. Change the number of pages to a large number (e.g., 999), and click OK.

  2. Click the Threaded display and All to see all the posts for the topic, the ones read and unread.

  1. The Expand All button will expand all threads. You can also will show all the messages posted to the thread.

  1. Make sure the All selection is chosen in the Page drop-down list. (This will now be displayed if you set the Number of Records per page to a high number.)
