ECE LAB EXPERIENCE FAQs
1. Does the center need to be licensed and accredited or just licensed?
The center must be licensed and in good standing, or be an accredited public or private school. It can also be Qualistar rated and NAEYC accredited.
2. Does the student need to have written parent approval for taking pictures?
It is the center's decision on getting parent' permission. Many centers have a blank permission slip that is signed when the child is enrolled for permission for pictures and videos. CCCOnline doesn't facilitate this process.
3. Information regarding background check of student. Is center's director's letter enough?
No, each home college has their own background check process and a home college background check is required.
For questions about background checks at your home program, please contact the ECE chair/coordinator at you home college. Your instructor will not have this information.
4. How many times must I be videotaped?
You will be required to video tape yourself working with the children 3 times during the semester for at least 25-30 minutes per tape.
